About the longest thread ever posted in a newsgroup – PHP

Q(Question):

Hey everybody, let’s make the longest newsgroup thread ever made.

Find the posting "Any girls?" in this newsgroup and add a posting. The name
of the thread is a great name for a programming newsgroup, but i wish the
content was better than it currently is, so write some good stuff!! and
let’s make a record. The thread is already really long.

Err… Guess you should read some threads on c.object to have a better
clue…

But still the ‘Any girls’ could become one of the longest "absolutely
and definitivly OT" thread here !-)

And there is everything inside that it needs: Romance, sex, crime, football.

I’m sure it will – and am surprised at how good-tempered it’s all been
so far.

In many cases, posting and continuing to post off-topic messages to
Usenet violates your ISP’s TOS and can get your account deactivated.
While ALT groups are open to about anything, COMP groups have charters
and continuous OT posting can lead to complaints to your ISP (not by me,
I don’t care).

just a heads up.

Ok, thank you very much for educating me about how long newsgroups can
be. I had no idea. This has been really good to know.

This has also led me to an even better idea. How about the longest OFF
TOPIC
newsthread ever made? Does anybody know how big the largest off topic
thread in a newsgroup is?

In many cases, posting and continuing to post off-topic messages to
Usenet violates your ISP’s TOS and can get your account deactivated.
While ALT groups are open to about anything, COMP groups have charters
and continuous OT posting can lead to complaints to your ISP (not by me,
I don’t care).

just a heads up.

Hopefully the thread that I created entitled "PHP Purpose (PHPP) — the
largest thread ever" makes up for it as I did it as a push to further PHP.

What’s TOS?

Not surprising you don’t know. Even attbi has one. Bet you just
clicked "i accept" when you signed up without reading it, didn’t you?

What, exactly, is a ‘push to futher PHP’.

Nope. I never saw it because I only attached myself to my parents existing
service. I went out and bought a router and connected my computer. So I
never started my ISP service.

Go to the thread entitled "PHP Purpose (PHPP) — the
largest thread ever" and figure out how to help PHP and its programmers.
That’s the push.

Nice, so you’re going to get your parents TOS’d because you feel the
need to create off-topic threads in chartered news-groups.

Terms of Service – it’s the rules/regulations that you agreed to in
order to get on the internet from your provider. While you may never had

Also know as an AUP – acceptable user policy.
