java – Uninstalling JDK and retaining JKS-Exceptionshub

Questions:

I’m using JDK from Oracle SE, and had created a Java keystore/JKS to import my server security certificate.

If I were to now use JRE from OpenJDK, for my application.
I’m wondering what I need to do so I can uninstall the older JDK used to create my keystore.

If I simply uninstall the Oracle SE JDK, I suspect I’d lose the keystore and my certificate would no longer work, right?

Is there a best-practice for dealing with this?

All I can think is to completely create a new JKS with OpenJDK first and import my certificate into that.
And then delete the Oracle SE version of JDK.

Any help please/thanks.
