Questions:

What I am trying to do is create a function that takes a username and password and with that, it should return ethier a true or false.

  • true – The user passed in the correct username and password, allow acces.
  • false – The user entered an incorrect username and password, don’t allow access.

My main goal is to learn how to use SSL correctly and figure out what it does. I have looked into the SslStream given by microsoft .NET. Is there any way to do this? I am very new to anything networking, yet my team has put me on this task and I would like to also know what is going on.

  • Client – will provide username and password.
  • Server – Will take the secured username and password, check authentication, return if the client had authority in the server via a bool.
