Project Migration From Old Jboss to New

Questions:

We have a web based java project deployed on production environment(Ubuntu 12.04) on Jboss 4.0.4 and now we have to move that project to Jboss 6.4.0 eap version. We don’t have the updated source code so we have to move the existing deployed project to newer Jboss.

The existing Jboss 4.0.4 doesn’t have a war file of the project, instead it has a .war folder of the project (The folder structure of Jboss 6.4.0 is different. ). We tried to deploy the same .war folder on Jboss 6.4.0 by manually putting that .war folder in standalone/deployments folder of jboss and by using the console to deploy the same .war folder without any success and there is no error shown on console of Jboss 6.4.0. When we try to access the project through url it shows 404 error status.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.

Answers:

I believe you want to try the standalone/deployments folder. There is a README.txt in there providing additional information.
